College!

So just a bit of an announcement. I'm about to head off to college, so I believe my free time will likely be shrinking quite a bit. Point is, I'll be trying to keep up, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to. I've already got quite a bit to catch up with from this last week, and won't have internet for a while as I'm driving to college. I might have to skip some things to keep up in the future, so I'm sorry if I skip your request.

I'll have spotty internet if at all starting tomorrow for the next week. I've downloaded all the art I could from what has been requested so I'll still be working on it, but the next update might be a while.

Just thought I'd post this here even though it's already in a sidebar in case anyone missed it.

The only large art I could find was a .gif or .png and terrible quality.

This would have to be ridiculously large. I found a 1500x1500 or so (which would have been big enough), but once again, terrible quality. Thank you to the person who sent me this.

If you have a high resolution (preferrably close to 1000x1000 or larger) of any of these, or a physical copy and a scanner it would be awesome if you could link me to it or upload it.

File Hosting

It has been brought to my attention that the site I am using to host images (imgur) is compressing them rather more than it claims.

Here's a rundown of what I've looked at as alternatives.

Imgur: 

Pros: easy linking, no maximum storage limit 

Cons: compressing my pictures, interface doesn't tell me the size of my pictures, or their original filename, max viewable files is... confusing. I think it means I won't be able to see them in my album but the link will still work.

Picasa: easy, but been there, done that, resizes all my pictures

Imageshack: 

Pros: doesn't resize or compress things

Cons: bit harder to use, bandwidth limits

Flickr:

Pros: not sure
Cons: bit difficult to use, resizes all photos as far as I can tell.

Paying for storage somewhere (probably Flickr): 

Pros: gets rid of max storage, filesize, etc.

Cons: I have no real income at the moment, which makes paying for something like this a problem.

If anyone has input about what's the best image hosting option out there, please let me know.

Videos!

As you may or may not have noticed, I've started adding a youtube sample for a song off the album when I post a wallpaper. I'll probably also be going back and adding samples to other wallpapers I've already made. If I don't know the album, I'll be taking the song from that album with the most listeners from last.fm, but if you have a different suggestion for a sample for any album let me know.

OH NOES!

I've just realized that the largest size that picasa will allow me to post is 1600x1000 and has been automatically resizing them all. I will be in the process of uploading and re-linking all of my wallpapers to somewhere that will host the correct sizes. Bleh.
