Spied: Here’s Proof that Volvo's Redesigned XC60 will be Offered Globally

When a Chinese website dropped a flurry of images of a restyled Volvo XC60 last month, we weren't sure if the aesthetic changes would be applied to the local market model alone or if it would be offered on all versions sold around the world.

These scoops of a thinly disguised XC60 test car shot in Europe put that question to rest as it features the same styling treatment as the camouflage-free model from China.

Os Sedãs Grandes mais vendidos de 2012!

O segmento de Sedãs Grandes recebeu duas novidades inéditas para o ano de 2012! Uma delas é o Kia Optima, que chegou para fazer sucesso, o coreano abocanhou a 4º posição do segmento! Já o Peugeot 508 é apenas um modelo de imagem, que não é para vender muito chegou para ser uma opção francesa, já que a Citroën tirou o C5 de linha! Já o Ford Fusion ganhou uma nova geração, totalmente nova e ligada ao atual design dos Ford's atuais! O ano de 2012 foi quase uma queda generalizada! Apenas o MG550 foi o modelo que aumentou suas vendas em relação à 2011! Além dos novatos, todos, todos os modelos caíram! Entre as maiores quedas estão: Chevrolet Malibu com 94%, o Honda Accord com 93%, Citroën C5 com 64% e o Volvo S60 com 61%! O líder continua o mesmo, o Fusion, seguido pelo Hyundai Sonata, Volkswagen Passat, Kia Optima e Volvo S60! As vendas do Sonata voltam em Fevereiro, já que as suas vendas soram suspensas temporariamente!

Volvo Engineer Going Berserk on Spy Photographer Ends Up on YouTube

Anyone who claims that being a spy photographer for the automotive industry is a walk in the park, clearly hasn’t a clue what this profession entails.

On the other hand, we also understand that being followed / stalked by people with cameras while you're trying to do your job as an engineer can be frustrating and time-consuming. Nevertheless, if you're not driving on a private track but on public roads, you just have to learn to live with it.

Now, it's one thing for an engineer to display his or her anger with sign language, as we've seen it happen many times in the past, and a completely different story when you get physically aggressive.

Euro NCAP Announces the Safest Cars of 2012 in Each Segment

Safety is something not to be taken lightly as far as cars are concerned. Euro NCAP, the independent organization that was established by seven European governments and has been conducting crash-tests since 1997, has been a key player in improving the level of passive and active safety offered by today’s new cars.

In 2012, it tested 36 new vehicles that became available in European markets. Most of them performed well enough to earn a five-star rating, though some did better than others in the four individual categories, namely adult occupant protection, child occupant protection, pedestrian protection and safety assist systems, and earned the “Best in Class” title for their respective segments (two of them tied in the Mini MPV class).

O segmento de Hatch's de Imagem cresceu em 2012! Recebemos duas grandes novidades, que além de serem as mais potentes, são os com melhor Custo-Benefício! O Citroën DS3 e o Volkswagen Fusca chegaram para estragar pelo menos a vida do Hyundai Veloster, vice-líder do segmento que prometem vender muito bem em 2013! Temos além disso, uma despedida! O Volvo C30 deixa o segmento, por que o modelo irá sair de linha e em seu lugar entrará o V40, mas o modelo não é de imagem e sim é um TOP! Spied: 2014 Volvo S60 Facelift to Sport Updated Fascia and Interior

After the recent sightings of the refreshed S80 sedan and XC60 crossover in China, our scoop photographers landed these images of a prototype of the facelifted S60 saloon testing in northern Europe.

On the outside, the only part of the car that appears to change is the front end. While heavily camouflaged, we're guessing that Volvo will follow in the path of the 2014 S80 and XC60 discarding the inner set of lights positioned between the headlamps and the grille, which itself, will also obtain a different shape and new details, as will the front bumper.
